Terms of Service

Orders and prices

Prices are in US dollars. Tax is calculated at checkout. An order is accepted when you get our confirmation email. If we can't make something (a typo in a price, a product we can no longer get, or a design we can't produce), we'll tell you and refund you in full. We ship within the United States only.

Personalized items

You're responsible for what you ask us to engrave or print: check spelling, names and dates before you order. We check every design by hand and may contact you if something looks off. We can refuse or cancel (with a full refund) personalization that is hateful, obscene, threatening or harassing, that uses someone else's trademark or copyrighted work, or that we can't produce well.

You keep the rights to what you write. You give us permission to use it to make and ship your order and, if you choose to share a Dad Said It quote, to show it on our Wall of Dadvice and in posts about it. Ask us and we'll take a shared quote down.

Shipping, returns and refunds

Delivery times are estimates. Our returns and shipping policy covers what can be returned, what's final sale, and what happens if we got it wrong or it arrived damaged. It's part of these terms.

Our designs

The Dadvisors name, logo, designs, product photos and writing on this site belong to us. Please don't copy or resell them. Buying a shirt or mug gives you the item, not the rights to the design.

Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep that email account secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in to your Dadvisors account.

The fine print

We sell our products as described, and the site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection law.

These terms are governed by the laws of Louisiana. If we change them, we'll update the date at the top; the terms in place when you ordered apply to that order.
