Privacy Policy
Last updated October 3, 2026
Dadvisors (“we”) runs dadvisors.us. This policy explains what we collect when you visit or buy from us, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we collect what we need to make and ship your order, we don't sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, shipping address, phone number (if you give one), what you bought, and any personalization you typed (names, places, dates, quotes).
- Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your account: your email address, if you sign in to see past orders.
- How you found us: if you arrive from an ad or a link with campaign tags (like utm_source or fbclid), we save those tags with your cart and order so we know which ads work.
- Site usage: pages visited and general device and browser information, through the analytics and advertising tools described below.
How we use it
To make, ship and support your order; to send order confirmations, shipping updates and sign-in links; to answer you when you write to us; to prevent fraud; and to understand which pages and ads bring people to the store. We only send marketing email if you ask for it.
Who helps us run the store
We share only what each one needs to do its job:
- Stripe processes payments.
- Printful prints and ships shirts, hoodies, mugs and dad hats, so it receives your name, shipping address and the item (including any personalization).
- Shippo and the shipping carriers get your name and address to deliver what we make in our shop.
- Supabase stores our order database, and Vercel hosts the website.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Vercel Analytics counts visits in aggregate, without cookies.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): we use the Meta Pixel to measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. It records events like viewing a product, adding to cart and purchasing, and Meta may use cookies to connect them to your Meta account. See Meta's privacy policy, and turn off ad personalization in your Meta ad preferences.
We don't sell your personal information. We may disclose it if the law requires it, or to protect our customers or the store.
Cookies
We set a few cookies of our own: one that keeps your cart, one that shows the cart count, one that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers which ad or link brought you here (for 30 days). The Meta Pixel sets its own advertising cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the store still works, though your cart won't be remembered.
The Wall of Dadvice
If you order a Dad Said It item and tick “Share it on our Wall of Dadvice,” we may show the quote, who said it and the year or place on our Wall of Dadvice after we approve it. We never show your name or order. Ask us any time and we'll take it down.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as we need them for taxes, accounting, returns and warranty questions, generally up to seven years. Everything else we delete when we no longer need it.
Your choices
Email help@dadvisors.us to see the information we have about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under state privacy laws, and we'll honor them. We won't treat you differently for asking.
Kids
The store is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes, we'll point out on the site.
